'Frenchman on the run', Eddie Tchigique, will be running through Port Augusta tomorrow, Monday 31/8/26. He is raising money for to support families facing childhood cancer.
He is covering 100km per day. He started out on 9/8/26 from Cottesloe Beach WA and is planning to run to Bondi in 38 days, a total of 3,900km.
Google him and follow his journey. It would be great if some runners from could join him to provide some support when running through tomorrow.

Port Augusta parkrun ~ Event number 377 ~ 29th August 2026
This week 63 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 19 were first timers and 4 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 2 different clubs took part.

Today was our last parkrun for winter, but it was more like spring, which is only a few days away with 1st of September on Tuesday. We welcomed visitors from Perth, Devonport, Canberra, Melbourne, Bendigo, Clare, Belair & Adelaide. We hope they enjoyed our parkrun.

Port Augusta parkrun started on 23rd June 2018. Since then 3,163 participants have completed 17,088 parkruns covering a total distance of 85,440 km, including 2,127 new Personal Bests. A total of 276 individuals have volunteered 2,913 times.
