FPDN’s CEO is in Edinburgh this week attending the Global Action on Disability (GLAD) Network meeting in his capacity as Co-Chair of the Pacific Disability Forum and Co-Chair of the Global Network of Indigenous Persons with Disabilities.

The meeting brings together governments and funding partners actively supporting disability-inclusive development initiatives. In a rapidly changing global environment, it is critical that disability inclusion remains a priority within international development efforts.

On stage, a panel of speakers sits in chairs while one person stands at a lectern speaking to the audience. An Auslan interpreter stands to the side, actively signing. Large screens behind and beside the stage display presentation slides and live captions. The room is well lit with modern ceiling panels, and attendees appear engaged, listening and taking notes during the session.
