π± Community Planting Day: Phase 2! π±
Big news, Point Turton! Following the success of our first planting day (where we got 440 plants in the ground!), we have a firm date locked in for Phase 2 of the Esplanade Revegetation.
π
**When:** Tuesday, 28th July at 10:00 AM
π **Where:** Meeting at the Point Turton Community Hall
π **Reward:** Free BBQ lunch provided by the Progress Association at 1:00 PM!
π€ Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
We have a massive **540 native plants** to get into the ground, stretching from the Community Hall beach access all the way to Wambana.
We are incredibly lucky to have 20 fantastic students from **Yorketown Area School** coming out to help us dig in!
πΈ Generous Donations & Support
This project is made possible thanks to a $2,000 grant from the **Northern & Yorke Landscape Board**, plus some amazing local support:
Rex Mining (via Carribie Seeds): Donated a huge variety of coastal natives, including Cushion Bush, Ruby Saltbush, Running Postman, and Muntries.
Yorke Peninsula Council: Donated 100 Nitre bushes, plus tools and watering carts to help us get the job done.
πββοΈ Want to Help?
Weβd love to see you there! If you plan on coming along, **please RSVP in the comments below or email us at [email protected]** so we can tally up numbers for the BBQ.
Let's make our esplanade beautiful! See you there! πΏβ¨
