Biketober is a free campaign that encourages more people to ride in their community. Everyone can join, no matter your experience or fitness level!

⭐How to get involved⭐
🚲Ride your bike (or borrow one!)
📲Log your rides in the Love to Ride app to earn points
🏆Every point is a chance to win from a range of prizes – you could win a holiday!
🫶Help improve your local streets.

When you log your rides in the app, you help show where riding feels good and where improvements are needed most.

This campaign is led by the City of Greater Geelong and Love to Ride.

Happy National Carers Week to the carers in our community 💛
Here at Bellarine Community Health, our Social Support groups are all about connection, and for many of our clients, a carer is what makes that connection possible.
Whether it's helping someone get ready, driving them to the group, or simply being there to encourage them to come along, carers play a vital role in helping people stay connected to their community.
We also know that when a carer becomes unwell or unavailable, or when caring responsibilities become too much, some of our clients are no longer able to join us. It's a reminder of just how much carers do, and how much their wellbeing matters.
To all the carers in our community, thank you, we're so grateful for everything you do. 🌻🌼💐

🚲It was wonderful being part of BBUG and Bicycle Network's Gimme 5! community event last Friday.

We loved hearing from Alison McCormack, CEO of Bicycle Network, Vicki Perrett and Jeremy Klitzing from BBUG, about the importance of dedicating 5% of the state transport budget to creating safer streets for everyone.

Riding from Portarlington Pier along the Coastal Trail to its current endpoint was a valuable opportunity to see why more connected pathways are needed across the Bellarine.

B*H is thrilled to partner with the Greater Geelong-Queenscliffe Mental Health and Wellbeing Local Network to establish a new outreach service to support mental health care on the Bellarine.
The official opening at our B*H Portarlington site this week was marked with a smoking ceremony and ribbon cutting by Alison Marchant - Member for Bellarine
This outreach site builds on the important mental health services we already provide in the community via our child, youth, headspace and adult mental health supports, and will ensure people on the Bellarine receive access to greater mental health care close to where they live.
The GGQ Mental Health and Wellbeing Local provides free services to residents without the need for a mental health care plan or Medicare card.

Join us for a revitalised B*H Annual General Meeting.
Pop the date in your calendar now because we want you to join us at the B*H Point Lonsdale site to reflect on our year, meet our Board Directors and join in a chat with guest speaker Roxie Bennett as we talk about the power of community connection.
Light refreshments will be available after the meeting with the opportunity to chat with the B*H team.
The AGM will also be available to join online if you can't make it in person. Please request the online link when you RSVP.

Join us for a chat with the Mental Health & Wellbeing Local where we will talk about our community, what this means to us and share insights into the things that give us meaning, connection and that maintain us over time.
We will also discuss services and supports available when our own networks need a boost.
