INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2026 // congratulations to both Tarena Murray and Cassie Merrigan - both were recognised this morning at the LSV IWD Breakfast.
The impactful International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026 Breakfast, is aligned with the global IWD theme “Balance the Scales” and the launch of the LSV 2030 Strategic Plan.
This purpose driven event brings together senior leaders and changemakers from emergency services, aquatic facilities and lifesaving to accelerate gender equality across participation, leadership and community resilience.
Featuring a powerful panel of female leaders from emergency response, aquatic leadership and lifesaving, the breakfast will explore practical ways to remove barriers for women and girls, strengthen inclusive leadership in high pressure environments, and create safer, more accessible participation pathways. Leveraging the visibility of Red & Yellow Day, the event reinforces LSV’s commitment to equity, inclusion and stronger communities. More than a conversation, this breakfast is a call to action to help shape a fairer, more resilient future towards 2030.
