Strong community support has helped secure the future of the Point Cook Pop Up Park. 🩷
Thank you to our community for speaking up and shaping what comes next.
You told us how much you value this space for connection, cultural celebration, small events and simply spending time together. That message was clear and has helped guide this next step.
From mid 2026, community bookings will open, ensuring the space continues as a shared place for our community.
This space was created with the community at its heart, beginning with Sara and I and the support of our community. It is wonderful to see it continue to be enjoyed by so many.
Thank you also to Council and Stockland for working constructively towards a positive way forward.
It wasn’t always easy reflected in the time taken but it is the result that matters.

🌿 Show Your Love for the Pop Up Park 🌿

Our Pop Up Park has been a place where neighbours connect, children play, and communities come together. It is more than just a space — it is a reminder of what happens when we imagine and create together.

But right now, its future is uncertain. Unless we raise our voices, this special place may be removed forever.

That’s why we’re inviting you — friends, families, and neighbors — to join us next Sunday at 2:00 PM for one powerful hour of togetherness.

We’ll gather, share stories about what the park means to us, and show that this space truly belongs to the community. Journalists will be invited, and we’ll capture short testimonials to remind decision-makers that the park is valued and loved.

Your presence matters. Your story matters. Together, we can make a difference.

✨ Let’s stand side by side to show that our Pop Up Park is worth keeping. ✨

You still provide your feedback on the consultation till 15th Sept

Let's shape the future of this space together!

Community has put its heart and soul into it to make it as a community place. Definitely this place has been a value add for the stockland tenants and also to the community.

Please provide your feedback to Wyndham City Council on the below link. Your voice counts https://theloop.wyndham.vic.gov.au/point-cook-popup-park

Public Statement from CoLocal

After much reflection, CoLocal has made the difficult decision not to continue our involvement with the Point Cook Pop Up Park over the next 12 months. With Stockland’s intention to reopen the road at the end of this period and recognition that the direction of the park’s transition no longer aligns with our core mission, community-led values, and the purpose that has guided our investment in the space over the past eight years.

This is not a decision we’ve made lightly. For the past eight years, it’s been our joy and privilege to help shape a space that has brought people together in the heart of Point Cook. We are deeply grateful to Wyndham City Council, Stockland, and the State and Federal Governments for their support of this shared vision — and to every person who helped bring it to life.

The Pop Up Park has always been a community-led space — created by the community, for the community. It was born out of a shared dream: to create a vibrant, inclusive place where people could connect, feel welcome, and support local businesses. Every detail was shaped by the voices, hands, and hearts of thousands of local people.

Point Cook is one of the fastest-growing and most multicultural suburbs in Australia — a rich tapestry of cultures, experiences, and stories. The Pop Up Park has helped us celebrate that diversity and find connection through shared experiences, spontaneous conversations, and joyful events. It’s been a living expression of the community’s warmth, energy, and creativity.

We want to acknowledge and thank the many community groups, volunteers, and local businesses whose generosity and dedication brought the space to life. Your support and belief in this project helped make the Pop Up Park a vibrant, heartwarming hub of activity and connection.

Most importantly, we want to thank you — our community. Working alongside you to co-create this space has been one of our greatest honours. Every moment has been a joy, and we are so proud of what we’ve built together. The legacy of the Pop-Up Park will live on through the strong community connections, positive memories, and collaborative spirit it has fostered over the years.

Feedback about the Park should be directed to Wyndham City Council https://theloop.wyndham.vic.gov.au/point-cook-popup-park

Enquiries about utilising the space should be directed to Stockland https://www.stockland.com.au/shopping-centres/centres/stockland-point-cook/visit/contact-us

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this journey. We are deeply grateful for your support, and proud of the legacy we’ve built together.

– The CoLocal Team 💚
