It is with great sadness tonight that we announce the passing of our long term resident Charlie the pig šŸ· ā¤ļø

Charlie came to Fairview Lodge 10 years ago and was supported by his dad Stefan, grandpa Mick, myself and the team at Fairview Lodge.

Charlie over the years had successfully made the move from Fairview Park to Hillier and lastly Birdwood.

The last couple of months Charlie has been unwell and had received multiple visits from our wonderful vets Dr Andrew and Dr James from Birdwood Vet. Charlieā€™s health continued to decline and today we made the very hard and painful decision to let him go. Charlie was only 1 week away from his 14th birthday.

It has been my absolute pleasure and honour to care for Charlie the past 6 years and our friendship and bond was strong. Charlie was one of the most intelligent animals that Iā€™ve ever had the pleasure of working with and his loss with leave a long term hole in my heart. ā™„ļø

On behalf of Stefan, Mick, myself and the team at Fairview Lodge Iā€™d like to thank Birdwood vet for all of their care with Charlie.

Troy from Champion transport for helping us with Charlie today.

And lastly the team of AWL Cremations, who will help Charlie make his final journey.

Farewell our special friend and thank you for being apart of our lives.
