Yesterday we screened 144 students at Wilsonton State School. Jenny and Geoff from Laurel Bank Lions, joined the Pittsworth team. Our thanks to the school staff for their great support.

Congratulations to the winners of our raffle on Saturday morning. Phyllis Keeley won the Fruit Tray and Maggie Littler will be enjoying a meal at "Rusty's". Thank you to everyone who supported Lions Medical Research by buying tickets.

On Saturday evening, Pittsworth Lions celebrated their Changeover Dinner at the Pittsworth Motor Inn. District Governor Elect, Stuart Matthews and Lion Barbara were our guests and Stuart was Installing Officer for new President, John Murphy and his team. Our thanks to all our guests for helping to make a very enjoyable evening.

At our last meeting, we welcomed 2nd. Vice-District Gov. Mark Bates and Lion Sue for Mark's official visit to the club. We also welcomed a new member, as Mark inducted Joanne. As a final celebration of her 90th. birthday, Lion Yvonne received a 20 year Monarch Certificate.

Pittsworth hosted the District final of the Youth of the Year final. Our congratulations to Sarah Chew of Mt. Alvernia College, Kedron, who won the Public Speaking Award, and Lions Youth of the Year Mariam Nabizada of Fairholme College, Toowoomba.

The Downs Vision Screening team had a very successful two days at Withcott State School last week. Joined by DG Narelle on Thursday, the team screened 166 students across all levels of the school. Our thanks to the staff for their great support of the program. Next stop will be Drayton, then Darling Heights.
