Delivered by CITS in partnership with Volunteering WA the Volunteer Advantage webinar series will help clubs learn realistic, achievable strategies to attract volunteers, keep them engaged, share the workload and plan for the future.

So grateful for such an interactive group who joined the Digital Continuity workshop! Drop in any time for tech or digital continuity support for your family, farm or business!

A big thank you to everyone who came along to the Digital Continuity Workshop at Pingrup CRC. 🌾 like many of the communities I work with all over the Great Southern and Wheatbelt WA - understanding tech and having it made simple for planning is so important!

It was fantastic to have such an interactive group, with people travelling from Gnowangerup, north of Lake Grace and surrounding areas to take part. The conversations, questions and real-life examples made it a really worthwhile session.

I’m looking forward to continuing those conversations and following up once harvest is finished.

But the workshop also highlighted why I think Digital Continuity is something every farm and small business needs to think about.

We rely on technology for so much of what we do — accounting, banking, email, records, supplier portals, machinery and GPS, compliance, communications, cloud systems and more.

But what happens when something changes?

📱 The person with the MFA phone is unavailable.
💻 The computer containing important information fails.
🔥 A fire destroys the office and devices.
🔐 An account is locked and nobody knows how to recover it.
📡 The internet or a critical system goes down.
👤 The person who normally knows how everything works suddenly can’t do it.

Digital Continuity is about looking beyond the technology itself and asking:

Who can do the job?
How do they get access?
What device will they use?
Where is the information they need?
What happens if the normal way doesn’t work?
And can they actually finish the job?

It’s not just about backups or passwords. It’s about understanding the people, technology, information, systems and dependencies that keep your farm or business operating — and making a practical plan for when something goes wrong.
