๐ฆ๐บ Rotary Club of Picton supporting the Enduring Spirit of ANZAC Walk ๐ฆ๐บ
On Thursday, members of the Rotary Club of Picton and Friends of Rotary, were proud to support the arrival of the Enduring Spirit of ANZAC Walk in Picton, providing a delicious sausage sizzle for all who attended. It was wonderful to see the community come together to welcome this inspiring journey.
The Enduring Spirit of ANZAC Walk is a 300km commemorative march from Holsworthy Army Barracks to Australian War Memorial, undertaken by a lone veteran in authentic WWI uniform and kit. The ten-day journey honours the courage, endurance and mateship of Australian servicemen and women, while also raising funds for Red Shield Defence Services, who have supported our troops since the First World War.
The walk passing through Picton was a meaningful reminder of the ANZAC spirit and the importance of community support.
Providing a sausage sizzle on the day was just one of the many ways the Rotary Club of Picton continues to give back and support our local community. Well done to everyone involved. ๐๐ฆ๐บ
