The monthly dinner meeting took place tonight, showcasing Karen's culinary expertise. We were joined by special guests Cheryl Slater, President, and Jude Schwarzman, Secretary of The Peterborough Community Garden. They delivered a presentation on the garden's recent activities and future plans for the next 12 months, emphasizing its community-focused ethos and affordability, with membership priced at $20 per annum. The garden is open to people of all ages, and we invite those interested to contact existing members for more details. Following the presentation, President Douglas Perrott expressed our gratitude to the guests with a token gift and suggested arranging a visit to the garden soon.

I would like to introduce our newest member, Rotarian Di Harris, to the Rotary Club of Peterborough, following her induction at our recent dinner meeting. Di's friendly presence is well-known in town, particularly through her parcel deliveries and volunteer driving services for Care in Motion. Over the past year, she has successfully transformed the old Bank SA building into Lady Di's Craft Corner, providing a new home for The Peterborough Patchworkers. We congratulate Di on her membership and anticipate her contributions to Rotary. Di Harris Rotary Club of Peterborough

The Rotary Club of Peterborough was pleased to host a luncheon for around 70 staff and guests from Energy Australia at the Hallett Power Station, as they introduced their Battery Storage System plans. A perfect day and fresh air made for an excellent outdoor barbecue, with meat provided by Peterborough Meat Supplies and a variety of salads. The delicious aromas wafting from the marquee indicated that service was about to commence. The guests' presentations on the new battery storage facility were very informative. We extend our best wishes to Energy Australia for this new venture.

On Sunday, Santa Alan, President Elf Doug, Elf Colleen, and their chauffeur, MFS Greg Carman, visited residents at Nayla Lodge and Peterborough Hospital, presenting them with Christmas boxes made by Jenny Perrott and filled with lovely treats. The smiles on the recipients' faces confirmed the success of the gesture. The Rotary Club of Peterborough sends its warmest wishes for peace, love, happiness, and a safe festive season to all.
