Unfortunately, today's skydive has been cancelled due to the weather.

Of course we're disappointed, especially as today means so much to us, but some things are simply out of our hands. The jumps will be rearranged, and we'll be back on when the weather is on our side.

The good news is that the gathering at the Manor House is still going ahead as planned from 6pm. Please come along, enjoy the entertainment, complimentary buffet

We'll still be raising a glass to Jaysley, sharing plenty of laughs, and enjoying the music she loved.

We hope you'll join us ❤️

I'm feeling quite emotional today as the skydives come to an end (weather permitting). Never ever did I think I'd be organising anything in memory of our daughter, our happy little girl who lived life to the full.

As I watch this video of Jaysley after completing her own skydive, I can't help but smile through the tears. So full of life, so fearless and so happy. This is how I will always remember her.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, especially all of the skydivers who have taken that leap for Jaysley. Thank you to you, the person reading this. Jaysley's Voice will continue. Today is only the end of the skydives.

Since our daughter's story became public, so many people have contacted me to share their own experiences of sexual assault and sexual harassment. Some have since found the strength to report what happened to them, while others have taken the first step by telling someone for the very first time. I am so proud of every single one of you. If our daughter's story has helped even one person find their voice, then Jaysley Voice is still making a difference.

I always say tears are good for cleaning the eyes. Well, today my eyes will be sparkling. 😢

Today is for you, Princess. I love you so much.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, Anthony and a group of close friends will take to the skies for the final skydive in memory of our daughter, Jaysley.

What many people don't know is that Jaysley herself completed a skydive at the exact same venue whilst serving in the Army, raising money for the Army Benevolent Fund.

Back then, she was the one stepping out of the aircraft.

Tomorrow, it will be Dad.

It's something I will never get my head around. As parents, we spend our lives protecting our children. We never imagine a day will come when we are doing things in their memory instead.

Anthony, alongside friends who have stood beside him through some of the darkest days of our lives, will make that jump for our daughter, for Jaysley's Voice, and for everyone who may be struggling in silence.

If you'd like to support them, please come along to Cark Airfield, Moor Lane, Flookburgh, Grange-over-Sands, LA11 7LS from 1.30pm and help cheer them on.

There may also be members of the media and the documentary production crew present as they continue to follow Jaysley's story.

To everyone who has kindly donated so far, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Through Jaysley's Voice, we are raising money for the Centre for Military Justice, who provide free legal services and support to members of the Armed Forces and their families.

If you would like to donate, every contribution, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated.

Jaysley's story will soon be shared in a new BBC documentary, Stacey Dooley: Death in the Barracks.

Today, the BBC announced the documentary, which tells the story of our daughter, Jaysley, and follows our family's journey since losing her in December 2021, as well as our continuing fight for answers, accountability and change.

In December 2021, our daughter, 19-year-old Gunner Jaysley Beck, was found dead at Larkhill Camp. What followed was a journey no family should ever have to face.

With unprecedented access to our family, friends and former Army colleagues, this documentary follows Jaysley's story, the legal process that followed, and our fight for justice, accountability and meaningful change.

Jaysley joined the Army full of pride, ambition and excitement for the future. What happened to her should never have happened.

No member of the Armed Forces who finds the courage to report sexual assault, harassment, bullying, discrimination or abuse should ever be let down by the system that is supposed to protect them.

We agreed to take part because we felt it was important for people to see the human side of this.

Jaysley wasn't a headline or a case. She was our daughter, and we miss her every single day.

More than four years on, we are still living this. We are still seeking answers, still going through court proceedings and legal processes, and still campaigning for change in Jaysley's name.

If this documentary helps people better understand what happened to Jaysley, why we continue to fight, and why we believe change is needed, then taking part was the right thing to do.

We are incredibly grateful to Stacey Dooley, Sandpaper Films and the BBC for treating Jaysley's story with such care, compassion and dignity.

Nothing will ever bring our daughter back, but if sharing her story helps people better understand the impact these failures can have, and contributes to meaningful change, then her voice continues to be heard.

Her voice was silenced. Ours won't be.

On Saturday 6th June, my partner Anthony, Jaysley's Dad, will be taking on a skydive in memory of our beautiful daughter, Jaysley.

This hasn't been an easy decision for him. He's actually petrified (don't tell him I said that), and if I'm honest, so am I.

Not long after losing Jaysley, I watched Anthony suffer a heart attack. After everything we've been through as a family, seeing him take on something like this fills me with both pride and nerves in equal measure.

He won't be taking to the sky alone. Jumping alongside him will be his childhood friend, work colleague and close family friends. Men who have stood beside him through some of the hardest days of his life. Men who may not always say much, but whose presence says everything.

Sometimes support is just knowing you're not carrying everything on your own.

While this may be the final skydive, it certainly isn't the end of Jaysley's Voice. Together, through skydives, marathon, events, fundraising and the incredible generosity of so many people, we have raised over £50,000 and will continue our work in Jaysley's memory.

The money raised from this skydive will go to the Centre for Military Justice, the charity who stood beside our family when we felt lost and overwhelmed. They provide free, independent legal support to service personnel and bereaved military families seeking answers, justice and accountability. Their support has been invaluable to us, and by raising money for them, we hope other families can receive the same support when they need it most.

Anthony will be linked to my JustGiving page and, if you feel able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much to us.

The skydive will take place from 1:30pm at Skydive North West, Flookburgh, LA11 7LS.

We would also love to see people there on the day to cheer Anthony and the team on as they take on this jump.

Afterwards, everyone is welcome back to the Manor House for a complimentary buffet, entertainment and a chance to spend time together.

Thank you to everyone who continues to stand beside our family and support Jaysley's Voice. To those who have messaged, shared their own experiences, asked for help, or spoken up after hearing Jaysley's story, You are the reason we keep going.

Rather than celebrating my birthday this year, I've decided to celebrate togetherness by bringing back She's A Belter. "We All Carry Something, Let's Carry It Together" for a second year, a charity music festival in memory of our daughter, Jaysley.

Music was a huge part of Jaysley's life. It made her laugh, sing and dance, and she always had a way of bringing people together, so it feels only right that, in her memory, I try to do the same.

The festival will take place at the Manor House, Oxen Park, LA12 8HG on Saturday 25th July from 1pm.

There'll be live music, a BBQ, children's activities, stalls, games and plenty to enjoy throughout the day. More than anything, it's about bringing people together, making memories and reminding one another that none of us has to carry life's challenges alone.

This is a charity event in support of the Centre for Military Justice, a cause that means so much to our family.

If you're in a band, have a stall, run children's activities, make crafts, would like to donate a raffle or auction prize, or simply want to support the day in some way, we'd love to hear from you.

We all carry something. Let's carry it together. ❤️

This year, we are honoured to present a second Special Recognition Award to Leighann McCready.

In 2021, Leighann’s world was changed forever when her 19-year-old daughter, Jaysley, died by su***de after being failed by the very system that should have protected her.

Determined that her daughter’s voice would be heard, Leighann launched Jaysley’s Voice - a campaign calling for greater accountability and change within the Armed Forces. Since Jaysley’s story became public, thousands of others have come forward with similar experiences.

Leighann’s work is not only about ensuring people remember the bright, kind and loving young woman Jaysley was, but about driving real change so that no one else is left feeling unheard or unsupported.

Alongside this, Leighann has raised an incredible £40,000 for the Centre for Military Justice, supporting those in the Armed Forces and their families who have experienced abuse, harassment or loss.

She has carried out this campaign while continuing her demanding role as a carer, working night shifts and supporting others - just as she always has.

Leighann’s fight is one fuelled by love, grief and determination - a commitment to making sure no other family is left asking why nobody listened.

A previous recipient of the Heart of Ulverston Courage Award, the overwhelming number of nominations this year led judges to create this Special Recognition Award in her honour.

Jaze,

There isn’t a single day that goes by where I don’t think about you. Not a morning when I wake up, or a night when I try to sleep, that your face, your voice, your laugh, and your hugs don’t come into my mind. I miss you so much. There’s a space in our lives that only you filled.

I’m so sorry, Jaze. Sorry that I couldn’t protect you from everything you went through. Sorry that the world wasn’t kinder to you. Sorry that you carried so much on your young shoulders. If love alone could have saved you, you would still be here, because you were loved more than anything in this world. You were our daughter, our pride, our joy, and nothing will ever change that.

I wish I could turn back time. I wish I could hold you tighter, listen longer, sit with you more, and take away every bit of hurt you felt. I would have carried it all for you if I could. A mother should be able to shield her child from the people who hurt them, and I’m so truly sorry that I couldn’t do that for you.

I hope you know how proud I am of you. You were such a proud soldier, strong, kind, funny, and full of life. You lit up every room you walked into. You had the biggest heart and always looked out for others. You were, and always will be, one of the best parts of my life.

I carry you with me everywhere I go. In everything I do, I do it for you. Your name, your story, your voice live on. You might not be here in the way we want you to be, but I know you will be beside me in your own little way.

I love you and Em more than anything in this world. I miss you so much.

I’ll keep fighting for you, for as long as it takes. That is my promise to you.

Forever your mum ❤️
