It’s extremely important that all parkrun participants pay close attention to the pre-event welcome. This is the time when the Run Director explains the rules and guidelines for the event as well as specific details regarding the course. At Cottesloe we often have week to week changes out on the course. These can range from rock exposures on the sand track near the beach to specific events taking place near the course eg Sculptures by the Sea at our turn around point. Paying attention to the Run Director helps make the parkrun safe for everyone.

A windy one this morning, with a number of people running who otherwise would have been swimming or paddling to Rotto. Thank you to our vollies for making #524 possible.

The Cottesloe parkrun course enables participants to see others at close quarters on their morning journey, whether it is near our first turn around point, on the beach or heading to the finish. This gives everyone a great opportunity to encourage others either by some positive words or a high five (or even a low five if you wish). It’s simple to do so let’s see if we can all support our fellow parkrunners.
