Young Engineers Perth, Greater Metro e² Young Engineers Perth, Greater Metro provides knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) basics through the use of LEGO®.

Welcome to e² Young Engineers Greater Metro! We are extremely excited to offer e² Young Engineers® programs to the Greater Metro Perth area and beyond! e² Young Engineers® programs include after-school enrichment classes, pre-school classes, summer camps, birthday parties and special events where children are given an opportunity to LEARN while having FUN building with the world’s favorite building block – LEGO®! Our programs utilize an EDUTAINMENT (education + entertainment) approach, transforming the learning process into a game while introducing children to theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Life Skills and Mathematics (STEALM). e² Young Engineers started in Perth in 2015 covering mostly south suberbs of Perth. Over the past year we have had hundreds of calls and request from other suburbs, so e² Young Engineers Greater Metro Perth started in the above areas since July 2016. Over the past few days, we have had hundreds of calls from parents and guardians inquiring about our programmes. We work with many schools and several centres throughout the area to provide our children an opportunity to experience these wonderful programs firsthand. I am incredibly proud to share this amazing carousel ride built by students in our latest hands-on workshop! They demonstrated such innovative thinking as they implemented centripetal force and belt transmission through this build. Watching their engineering skills come to life is truly an incredible experience for all of us involved. 🚀

I had the wonderful opportunity to be invited to Wesley College as a Chief Judge, helping to judge students’ innovative prototypes designed to tackle traffic challenges in 2050. 🚗💡🌏

I was truly impressed by the creativity, engineering thinking and problem-solving skills demonstrated by the students.

One innovation that particularly amazed me was a flipping car designed to operate both on-road and off-road — an imaginative concept aimed at creating alternative ways to travel and helping reduce congestion on our roads in the future.

Seeing young minds think beyond today’s limitations and explore what transportation could look like in 2050 was incredibly inspiring. These experiences remind me why encouraging STEM, innovation and creative problem-solving from a young age is so important.

A big thank you to Chee Wong for inviting me and giving me the opportunity to be part of this fantastic experience at Wesley College.

It was a privilege to listen to the students’ ideas, ask questions about their designs and celebrate the next generation of innovators. 👏

What a wonderful way to start the morning! ☀️

I had the pleasure of having a meaningful conversation with Neelima this morning about a topic very close to my heart — STEM for everyone.

We spoke about how STEM is not just about science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It is about curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, asking questions, experimenting and having the confidence to find solutions.

My own connection with STEM started from watching craftsmanship and technology around me, and today I have the privilege of seeing that same curiosity come alive in young minds. There is something incredibly rewarding about watching a child build, experiment, make a mistake, try again and proudly say, “I figured it out!”

I strongly believe STEM should be accessible to every child, regardless of their background, gender or where they begin their learning journey.

Thank you, Neelima, for such an engaging conversation and for giving me the opportunity to share my STEM journey and passion.
