We sing Mondays, during school term. 6:30pm - 8:30pm We sing for better understanding, promoting the richness of contemporary First Nations cultures. Madjitil Moorna Choir practises and performs all over WA - Metro and Regional/Remote. We sing in many Aboriginal and TSI languages, but mostly in Noongar and English. Come and j

oin us and be amazed by the journey that the choir will lead you on! NB: We take a Makuru break after busy NAIDOC Week in July. Get in early if you want the choir to be part of your celebration this year. See our website to make an enquiry for workshop or performance, any time of year.

Bring a chair, share plate and drinks of choice. Non alcoholic fruit punch and tea/coffee provided. Have plenty of glasses and mugs here.
Park in front paddock - senior parking up behind house but please don't block the driveway.
Bring your magical voices to make some beautiful sounds on a summer's evening in the bush.

As most of you know Walyalup Kannajil took a hiatus mid-way through Term 4 last year, post-referendum. Kobi, along with Madjitil Moorna (our djook choir), have decided that for the coming 2024 year, a collective singing session will be held each Noongar season. So that means WK will transition from an 8-week 4-term based structure, to a collective 1x Noongar bonar or 6x times per year. The new sessions will be held for all choir members from Walyalup Kannajil, Madjitil Moorna as well as Koondarm. The details have not been set for for the first session, however we will be sure to keep you posted via our socials 💛💛💛

SUNDAY DEC 3 End of year party for MM and WK.

At MJ's place 376 Maddington Rd Orange Grove. 5pm!

Park in front paddock and there will be a tractor/trailer to take your chairs etc up to the house.
(Limited parking at back of house for those unable to do the walk from paddock)

We will provide sausage n buns ( meat or veg sausages) and fruit punch and soft drinks. (Welcome to bring drinks of your choice)

DON'T FORGET CHANGE FOR THE RAFFLE and your chair n mossie protection.

NB: We take a big Makuru break after NAIDOC, returning 14 Aug 2017 (apart from a few gigs) So June Mondays we meet and then after the break.
