Today we're celebrating an incredible milestone! 🎉
When Jamie first walked through the doors of Pindari House, he was a man ready to change and willing to do the work. Today, he stands on higher ground and he's just landed a job!
Over the course of his journey at Pindari, Jamie has:
✅ Secured employment - a huge step toward independence and a fresh start
✅ Completed his Certificate III, building real, marketable skills
✅ Stepped up as a House Leader, walking alongside newer residents
✅ Volunteered with St Vinnies and gardened for clients in the community
✅ Healed family relationships and built unshakeable self-belief
More importantly, Jamie has done the deep work. Through the curriculum and counselling, he faced the trauma of his past and built genuine emotional healing, self-awareness and relapse prevention from the inside out. The urge to self-medicate that once controlled his life? Gone. Replaced by structure, discipline and purpose.
As he leaned into work therapy and daily routine, Jamie also rediscovered his creative gifts in art and writing, and grew in his capacity for empathy, listening and connection. He walked confidently in his faith, empowering others on their own journeys while staying grounded in his own beliefs.
Now reaching Stage 5 and into Transition Housing, Jamie stands surrounded by a community he can lean on and one he shows up for in return. 🙏
