What a sad world we live in ….

I can make comments about my very own prime minister - but I can’t speak about a government that is starving children.

A world leader can be embroiled in events on whether or not to release findings of a convicted criminal - but we can’t say a word about a government butchering women and children.

As a nation we have a proud record of acknowledging our past errors and maybe we over do it sometimes - however our parliament allows the freedom for elected officials to turn their backs on the call to country - but I cannot speak of a government that steals land by force and is committing genocide.

One day in front of GOD - however you believe surely we will be answerable as to why we remained silent.

Most of Lebanon's shelters are full, and people fleeing Israeli military strikes are increasingly sleeping out in the open on the street or in public parks, according to UN officials.

"Most of the nearly 900 government-established collective shelters in Lebanon have no more capacity," UNHCR's Rula Amin told a Geneva press briefing on October 4.

She said that they were working with local authorities to find more sites and that, in the meantime, some hotels and even Beirut nightclubs were opening their doors.

Lebanese authorities say over 1.2 million Lebanese have been displaced and nearly 2,000 people killed in Israeli attacks over the last year, most of them within the past two weeks.

"Roads are jammed with traffic, people are sleeping in public parks, on the street, the beach," said Mathieu Luciano, the International Organization for Migration's office head in Lebanon.

He added that many of the current shelters are schools, meaning disruptions to education.
