The Dance Connect Western Australia Incorporated is an independent community-based not-for-profit organisation, established in Perth, Western Australia. Our vision is to inspire a lifelong connection between our community and the healthy benefits of partnered dance; we promote and support the growth of dance in everything we do. We are led by an elected management committee, joined by supporting v

olunteer resources on a per-project basis. The Dance Connect strategy guides us to;

🎥 The Dance Connect is proud to be providing the official livestream for the Australian Dancing Society Ltd - West Australian Branch Night of Stars 2026!

Whether you're supporting friends and family from afar, unable to attend in person, or simply want the best seat in the house, you'll be able to experience every moment of Western Australia's premier ballroom event from wherever you are.

Huge congratulations to the team at Perth Tango Club for delivering another incredible Perth Tango Festival for 2026 💃🕺

Across 7 days, the festival brought together everything we love about Argentine Tango. From inspiring dance workshops and the always-fun Jack & Jill competition, to free public dance lessons, a beautiful afternoon concert, and unforgettable gala milongas on Friday and Saturday nights featuring live music from Ensemble Hyperion.

We’re so grateful to have been part of WA’s biggest celebration of tango again this year, supporting event planning, design, sound, lighting and marketing alongside such a passionate crew. Always a pleasure working with the amazing team at Perth Tango Club and the staff at Perth Town Hall.

Special shoutout as well to Juan Rando Dance Academy for hosting the Jack & Jill comp and public classes, and to the incredible maestros Analia Morales & Gabriel Ponce for a stunning Saturday night floorshow.

The Dance Connect is proud to support An Afternoon of Tango 💃 A relaxed, fully seated concert at Perth Town Hall.

Featuring the internationally recognised Hyperion Ensemble (Italy/Argentina), joined by acclaimed vocalist Marisol Martínez and Lucas Boock, this performance showcases tango in all its richness 🎻 lyrical, dramatic, and deeply expressive.

Enjoy music by Astor Piazzolla and classics from tango’s golden era, in a warm, welcoming atmosphere designed for listening, reflection, and connection.

✨ Free introductory tango lesson from 1:00–2:00pm

📸 Part I of our largest published album yet is here!

We’re excited to share highlights from the 2026 Australian Institute of Dancing Annual Championship 🏆✨ With so many incredible moments throughout the day, this album captures the energy, elegance, and community spirit that made this year’s event so special.

The main ballroom was buzzing with support from spectators, friends, and families cheering on the dancers, while the competitors gave us some stunning photo opportunities.

Of course, the magic wasn’t only happening on the dance floor. Some of our favourite moments were the candid ones around the venue. The final touch-ups, the chats with friends, and the camaraderie. Capturing the dance community in moments like these is something we truly love 💖

A huge thank you to the Australian Institute of Dancing for once again trusting The Dance Connect to support the event from the early planning stages through to delivering sound, lighting, and staging on the day. It’s always a privilege to help bring this beautiful competition to life.

The Dance Connect is proudly supporting the Perth Tango Festival Autumn Edition, running Friday 17th April to Sunday 19th April, a celebration of Argentine tango set against the stunning backdrop of the Indian Ocean.
