Hey Ladies!
Would you like to go 4WD-ing?
It’s not all for the boys you know!

Do you want to drive rather than pilot? Do you want to learn how to use maps (paper or digital)? Do you know how to air down & pump it back up again? Do you want to try new camping recipes? Do you know what everything in your rig does, what it’s for, how to get the best out of your gear? Do you want to surprise your other half with how good you are next time you go out?

There are plenty of women in the 4WD Club of WA. Many go without partners for whatever reason. Some of us just love it. Some of us have partners on FIFO. Some want to take out our mothers or teach our daughters (and sons!) how to be self sufficient and do things. Some are single by life or by choice.

Learn new skills, share stories, do something that scares you but do it anyway! We are a supportive club. No judgement. As long as you show a willingness to try, we are willing to help & have fun. It doesn’t mean that the men don’t or can’t come. It just means you can take the car out, even if you have to ask for help to change a tyre. And most places you’ll find a chicken track if it all gets too much. Believe me once the adrenaline hits, you’ll be handing to have a go!

Apart from off-roading, we also do touring and sightseeing trips, drop into a winery, see the wildflowers, do a local painting, crafts or cooking class (often free if it’s lead by one of our members). Just try it for yourself! Bring the kids (or leave them with Dad, grandparents, at a sleepover…). Get in touch with our membership officer by phone, message, website or email.

Hey everyone!
Tired of your own cooking?
Another awesome thing about belonging to a 4WD Club is sharing bush kitchen or camp oven recipes on a trip.

We all bring our own food. Some have prepped & frozen meals, others vacuum seal. Generous souls amongst us bring plates to share. We’ve even had the pleasure of an early riser cook up eggs and bacon for the camping crew one misty morning out bush.

If something smells delicious, you can always ask nicely for a taste.

We have cook off competitions. Sometimes it’s that secret ingredient that is the wow factor. Sometimes it’s just a switch of this or that to your tired & trusted meal to make it a winner. And we have members of different ethnicities so we never run out of ideas. So if it’s a bbq, damper, curry, stew, satay, stir fry or savoury scones, breakfast or dinner, lunch wrap or poke bowl, burger or bangh mi, we’ve got you covered.

And we’ve been known to drop into a winery, the local cheese monger, a honey farm, a cafe and a pub or two. After all we want to support our country communities whenever we can. And sometimes you just want a break after all that driving!

Hey everyone!
Continuing our series about the benefits of belonging to a 4WD Club …
One of the perks of going on Club trips is that they’re a mini 4WD and camping show without the sales pitch!

Everyone has a different set up, different cars, gear, vans, tents, kitchens, modifications, off-road trailers, swags or tents. So a trip is often a bit of a show & tell.
From „I didn’t know you could buy that!” Yep last week for example we were talking about heated jackets for an upcoming Outback trip. To „Well I have this model but Jenny over there has the super version and Greg has the other brand.”

You get to see the gear in action, how it fits in, what it cost and what you had to take out or buy extra to put it in and make it work. No pressure to buy. Plenty of time to take a good look without a line of people behind you. (They’re probably standing beside you for a sticky beak but without an agenda.) 🤣Hey we’ve even loaned stuff to each other once we got to be friends.

Hey everyone,
So we’ve had a few enquiries about the Club 🚙 which is great. Thank you! And see you in person soon 🙂
Here’s a question we often get asked:
What kind of trips do you go on?

Well, you name it …:
1. Beach and sand trips 🏖️
2. Camping trips ⛺️
3. Half-day or full-day trips
4. Overnight, Weekend, Long weekend trips 🛖
5. Mid-week trips
6. Challenging rock and off-grid trips
7. Historical or sightseeing trips 📸
8. Desert & outback trips
9. Stations 🤠 🏜️
10. Caravan Parks
11. Fishing & crabbing trips 🎣🐟 🦀
12. Wildflower 🌸 and Forest 🌲🌳 trips
13. Up North ⬆️ & Down South ⬇️ trips
14. Social trips 💃🕺
15. Busy bee 🐝 trips
16. Night & stargazing trips 🌓🌃
17. Camp Oven Cooking, Photography 📸 & Art 🎨 trips
18. Just go for a drive or down the pub trips
Even Overseas trips 🌊🛥️

So if you’re an enthusiast or just starting out, single, a couple, a family with kids, work shift or FIFO/DIDO, have a partner who doesn’t like camping, retired, young, old or middle-aged … you’ll find a trip to go on and a crew to go with. But if you like solitude there’s plenty of room to camp away from the group, and join in at will. You have the added security that someone you know is in the area but if you want to just hang or go to a different spot for the day, you can. We won’t be offended.

If you’re interested get in touch with our President or Membership by message or our website.

Hey everyone
We noticed there are over 4000 of you …
Now we know some are following us from afar but for those of you in Perth … here’s food for thought -

For those new to 4WDving in WA, a club often provides the fastest path to becoming a competent and safe off-blacktop driver (except perhaps a paid course or tag along tour). And these have their place …

For experienced 4WDrivers who want
track updates; vehicle, camping, caravaning, camp oven and destination advice; trip inspiration … Facebook groups may provide better info.

Most WA 4x4 drivers use both: they belong to a club for training, trips and friendships, while using social media for real-time information and broader discussion.

Reach out if you want to see what a club is like. Belonging to a club is a lot less commitment, cost and rigid rules than it used to be. Come and join the oldest non-branded car club in WA! Message us or comment below.
