๐Ÿšจ New for 2026: the Risky Business Challenge comes to GGA Chairs Summit.

Using DPIRD's farming simulation game, this year delegates have the chance to test their decision-making!

Working in teams alongside GGA's Board Directors, participants respond to seasonal conditions, market changes and production risks in a fun, interactive workshop which showcases a practical learning activity that can be adapted for local delivery by grower groups.

GGA's annual Chairs Summit brings together leaders from GGA voting groups to connect, collaborate and this year, launch GGA's new five-year Strategy 2026-2030.

๐Ÿ‚ Olivia and Tom Lawson run a beef genetics stud in central Victoria, focusing on sustainable grazing, soil health, and water management.

Using cover crops, rotational grazing, and drought planning, they balance stocking rates, preserve groundcover, and prioritise resilience, efficiency, and healthier food production.

This video was recorded during the study tour to Victoria and Tasmania, organised in collaboration with the Victoria Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub and TAS Farm Innovation Hub.

The Smart Grazing, Stronger Lands project is assisting pastoralists and land managers throughout Australiaโ€™s Southern Rangelands to adopt proven climate-smart decision support tools and technologies to improve grazing management and ecosystem health.

To learn more:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Visit the web page: https://hub.gga.org.au/projects/smart-grazing-stronger-lands/
๐Ÿ‘‰ Listen to our podcast: https://hub.gga.org.au/podcast/smart-grazing-breaking-down-barriers-to-technology-adoption-in-the-southern-rangelands/

GPRI is pleased to share that four demonstration sites have now been confirmed as part of the Smart Grazing, Stronger Lands project.

Across the sites, producers are exploring practical technology that can support better grazing and livestock management decisions, including walk over weighing systems, crush side animal management technology, reproductive scanners, livestock tracking tags and whole of property software.

Each demonstration site will test technology in a real pastoral business setting, with a focus on what is practical, useful and transferable across the region. The aim is to better understand how these tools can support animal management, grazing decisions, property planning and long term business resilience.

We look forward to sharing updates, producer learnings and opportunities for peer to peer discussion as the demonstrations sites are established and progress.
