We thought it was time for a quick update, as things have been a little quieter than usual on the Mike Leeke Classic front this year.
On a personal note, I’ve been dealing with some health issues behind the scenes, which have unfortunately sidelined me for quite a while.
The good news is I’m on the road to recovery and looking forward to getting back into things.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out with their support – it’s been greatly appreciated.
We also have some sad committee news to share. After nine fantastic years with the Mike Leeke Classic, senior committee member Jason Bridges has made the decision to step aside due to increasing business commitments.
Not one for attention he will hate me saying this but Jason’s knowledge, dedication and unwavering support have been instrumental in the growth of this event.
His contribution over nearly a decade has helped shape the Mike Leeke Classic into what it is today, and on behalf of everyone involved, I’d like to sincerely thank him and wish him every success for the future. Thank you so much Jas.
Although we’ve been quiet publicly, plenty of planning has been happening behind the scenes including securing a number of major sponsors
However, we’ve made the decision to move the Mike Leeke Classic to earlier in 2027.
This will provide the team the extra time we need to ensure we deliver the quality event that everyone has come to expect.
Over the next couple of months, you’ll start to see a lot more activity from the MLC as preparations ramp up and we will keep you, our loyal supporters, updated along the way.
Finally, if you’ve been thinking about joining us for this year’s Southwest Tour, October 2nd to 4th, now’s the time to register: www.mikeleekefoundation.org/events-1/mike-leeke-foundation-south-west-tour-2026
We still have a few spots available, but they’re filling quickly, so please dont leave it too late.
Thanks again for your continued support.
We’re incredibly excited about what lies ahead, especially as we prepare to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Mike Leeke Classic in 2027.
It’s a milestone we’re incredibly proud of, and if you would like to help by sponsoring please get in touch.
We’re looking forward to making it our biggest and best event yet!
