We recently welcomed a new corporate volunteer group, Sika Australia, and honestly, we are still talking about what a special experience it was. 💙
From the moment the team arrived, there was such warmth, enthusiasm and genuine care in the room. They threw themselves into every task with kindness and purpose, but more than that, they connected so deeply with why we do what we do.
It’s always meaningful to share our mission with new people, but this group truly left a lasting impression on us.
After their visit, Kristy sent us this beautiful message:
“It was a truly humbling and meaningful experience for our team.
The session brought everyone closer together, giving us the opportunity to reflect on our own childhood experiences and opening up and having honest conversations among the group.
On a personal note, I want to thank you again for the passion and care you bring to your work — it truly shines through. People like you and your team make a real difference, and it’s truly inspiring.”
And then, a week later, we received the most thoughtful surprise.
The team had put together a huge care package for us — boxes of biscuits, stationery, flat boxes, tape and so many of the everyday items we constantly need behind the scenes. They had clearly listened carefully during their visit and noticed not just the big things, but the little things too.
Tucked inside were also handwritten notes from the team, thanking us for what we do.
To Kristy and everyone at Sika Building Trust — thank you. Thank you for your generosity, your openness, your compassion and for showing such genuine care for the families we support.
We feel incredibly grateful to have people like you in our Little Things family and can't wait to welcome you all again. 💙
