📱 KEEPING OUR KIDS SAFE ONLINE — FREE PARENT EVENT

The online world is a huge part of our children’s lives — from learning and gaming to social media and connecting with friends. But with that comes challenges, risks and plenty of things for parents to navigate.

If you’ve ever wondered “Am I doing enough to keep my kids safe online?” — this event is for you. ❤️

Zaneta Mascarenhas MP is hosting a FREE eSafety event for parents, guardians and carers, featuring respected online safety educator Kayelene Kerr.

The evening will provide practical, easy-to-understand advice on:

🔹 Keeping children safe online
🔹 Recognising potential risks
🔹 Supporting healthy digital habits at home
🔹 Navigating some of the more confronting issues children can encounter online

📅 Monday 24 August 2026
🕔 Doors open 5.00pm
🎤 Session: 5.30pm–8.30pm
📍 Belmont City College, 106 Fisher Street, Belmont
👨‍👩‍👧 Adults only

⚠️ Please note: The session will include mature and potentially confronting discussions around online risks and child safety.

Join the Rivervale Primary School community on Wednesday for the Visual Arts Gallery Walkthrough as we celebrate the creativity and artwork of our students across the school. 🎨

The P&C is proud to support the afternoon with:

☕ Complimentary tea & coffee
✂️ A free drop-in creative activity for children

We look forward to seeing families enjoying an afternoon of creativity, connection and community while exploring the amazing artwork created by our students.

🌈🎉 Can you believe it's been SIX WEEKS since our Colour Run?! Time really does fly when you're having fun!

We're still smiling looking back at all the laughter, colour explosions, and happy faces from what was such an incredible day. 💙💚💛💜❤️

Thanks to the amazing support of our students, families, friends and community, our Colour Run raised a whopping $11,978 for the P&C! 🤯👏

Every donation, share, and fundraising effort helped make this possible, and we couldn't be more grateful.

🎁 Prize update! We sorted all of the Colour Run prizes yesterday and they're making their way to students. If your child hasn't received theirs yet, don't worry – it's on the way! 😍

Thank you again to everyone who got involved, donated, volunteered, cheered from the sidelines, or got covered in colour for a great cause. We think the reel says it all... what a day! 🌈✨
