Congratulations to Simon Mills of Star Dance Studios Secret Harbour on being a finalist in the City of Rockingham Senior Sports Star awards.

During the 2025–2026 season, Simon Mills continued to establish himself as one of Australia's leading DanceSport professionals, achieving outstanding success across:

* Professional DanceSport
* Para DanceSport
* Vision Impaired DanceSport
* Pro-Am Competition
* Coaching.

Competing with his wife Meghan in Australia's highest level of competitive DanceSport, Simon achieved major national titles during the season, including:

• 27 July 2025 – Southern Cross National DanceSport Championships:
* Professional Open New Vogue Champions.

• 20 June 2026 – Night of Stars National DanceSport Championships:
* Professional Open Ballroom Champions.
* Professional Open New Vogue Champions.

Partnering with Para athlete Lizz Bleakley, Simon enjoyed another exceptional season in Para DanceSport, highlighted by historic international achievements including finishing 4th in the World Para DanceSport Ballroom Class 2 Official World Rankings.

Simon partnered Vanessa Vlajkovic, a Deafblind athlete, throughout the season. At the 2025 Australian DanceSport Championships, they successfully defended both the Vision Impaired Standard and Vision Impaired New Vogue Championships, becoming six-time Australian Vision Impaired Champions.

As a coach, Simon, alongside Meghan, developed athletes across all age groups to state, national and international success, further strengthening Western Australia's reputation for excellence in competitive DanceSport.

Congratulations, Simon; you are a deserving finalist for this award.
