The East Fremantle District Junior Football Umpires Association (EFDJFUA) is the association of the umpires officiating in the Sharks District. The association was formed in 2004 in an attempt to have a closely bonded group of umpires who could be formally represented and allow for an expansion to the services provided to umpires officiating in the East Fremantle District. The professionalism and exceptional standard of umpiring displayed in the East Fremantle district is strongly displayed in the WAFL ranks with over a third of the WAFL panel beginning their umpiring careers as members of the Sharks District umpiring squad. The EFDJFUA has also enabled a strong connection with the WAFC Umpiring's development pathway, as all of the association's management committee currently umpiring at WAFL level. Whilst the association first and foremost acts to properly represent its running umpires, its other key role is to tighten the bond of all its members through numerous social functions held throughout the year. Our home ground is currently Karoonda Park, Booragoon (WA) where all our umpires train every Wednesday night throughout the season. The association's success is dependent on the hard work of numerous people ranging from coaches to district managers, and from parents to commmittee members. These people are those who help allow the East Fremantle District Junior Football Umpires Association to be the successful establishment that it has become.
