🎬 Greek Cinema is Coming to Perth - Tickets Are Now Live!

The Hellenic Community of Western Australia is delighted to share two exciting screenings as part of the 2026 Greek Film Festival, bringing contemporary Greek storytelling, history and culture to the big screen at Event Cinemas Innaloo.

Best Friends Forever (Φίλοι Για Πάντα) - 📅 Sunday, 15 November | 4:00pm

A contemporary Greek comedy about friendship, family and just how quickly the best intentions can spiral into chaos. Centred around a wedding that goes spectacularly off course, Best Friends Forever promises plenty of laughs, misunderstandings and heart.

One of the biggest nights on the Pontian community calendar is coming up! 🖤💛🦅

The Pontian Brotherhood of Saint George WA Annual Dinner Dance returns on Saturday, 31 October at the Hellenic Community Hall in Northbridge.

This year’s line-up brings together live music, traditional dance and some very special interstate guests, including the Pontoxeniteas NSW Dance Group, returning to Perth once again.

The evening will also feature Melbourne singer Kallia (Carly Yelayotis), vocals by Adam Neou, and musicians Prodromos Moysiadis on lyra and Peter Tsenkas on daouli, alongside performances from the Brotherhood’s Junior, Intermediate and Senior Dance Groups.

This national recognition reflects Paul’s leadership and commitment to building a strong and sustainable Hellenic Community of Western Australia, while ensuring our purpose remains firmly at the centre of everything we do.

From the continued growth of St. Andrew’s Grammar and Hellenic Community Aged Care to the broader work of our community, Paul has helped lead an exciting period of progress while always keeping an eye firmly on the future.

While Paul will be the first to say that no achievement belongs to one person, today we are very happy to put the spotlight firmly on him.

Join us for the Dimitria Luncheon on Sunday, 25 October 2026, hosted by the Pan-Macedonian Association of Western Australia. 🇬🇷

Doors open from 12:00 pm, with a family-style lunch served from 12:30 pm. Guests can look forward to an afternoon of Greek music, dancing and entertainment, including the Aithonia Greek Seniors Choir, a live band and a special dance performance by students from St. Andrew’s Grammar.

Tickets are $35 for adults, $15 for teenagers aged 12–18, with children under 12 free.

HCWA Members – this one’s for you! 💙

As part of our commitment to giving back to our members, we’re hosting a special Members’ BBQ on Sunday, 18 October.

Join us from 11:30 am in the courtyard of the Bianca Afkos Science & Technology Centre at St. Andrew’s Grammar for a relaxed afternoon, a bite to eat and a chance to catch up with familiar faces from across our Community.

The BBQ will also coincide with the Backgammon Tournament, so there’ll be plenty happening throughout the day.

🎶💃 One of the biggest Pontian events of the year is back!

The Pontian Brotherhood of Saint George WA Annual Dinner Dance returns on Saturday, 31 October at the Hellenic Community Hall, Northbridge, for an unforgettable night of culture, music, dancing and community spirit.

Live entertainment will feature Melbourne singer Kallia (Carly Yelayotis) with vocals by Adam Neou, plus renowned musicians Prodromos Moysiadis (lyra) and Peter Tsenkas (daouli), keeping the dance floor alive all night long.

Here's the video of our Hellenic Community Aged Care Family Open Day last Sunday - spot anyone you know? 🤩

Huge thanks to those who came and made it such a special day and to our wonderful videographer (Blend Motion Perth).

Interested in our "higher than national average care?" mentioned in the video...The national average length of stay in permanent residential aged care in Australia is around 1.7 years (20 months). At Hellenic Community Aged Care, our own data tells a different story: our residents stay an average of 4.51 years (54 months). Notably, one of our past residents lived with us for over 18 years!
