Just a bit of housekeeping.... This page is about helping identify persons of interest in relation to a crime. Describing a persons skin tone, nationality, eye shape, type of headwear, or hair colour etc, is not being racist. Just as if the person was yellow, red blue or purple, and wearing a ninja costume, it is merely pointing out the physical attributes of the person as to help people to be ab
le to identify them better. Lets not start any racial debates. As this page is growing by the day, it has come to our attention that some rules need putting in place, and some reiterated. So there is no confusion- please read below and feel free to message us if you would like to discuss.
1.Some adults on here should be totally disgusted with themselves over some of the pathetic, childish and downright unacceptable comments they make on this page. ESPECIALLY when they are making these comments about children! You are meant to be setting an example for our kids and instead you choose to behave in a manner that even many 5 year olds wouldnt by name calling and degrading them. Grow up people!! WE CAN NOT BE HERE 24/7 TO MONITOR EVERY COMMENT MADE! WE HAVE JOBS & NEED TO SLEEP SOMETIMES!
-Any of you found making any comments that refer to a child or minor by way of degrading name calling will be removed and banned from this page. ( and maybe we will even make a collage of the repeat offenders and name and shame you!)
- Any of you that send messages saying that "we allow people to make these comments" and do it in a nasty and in a blame like style- you will also be removed from the page. We cant contol what people will say. We will remove these types of comments when they come to our attention.
2. Many of you make the stupid comments about the person in the picture being on drugs and refering to them as crackwhores and the like. You are making judgments about someone that you have no idea about and you dont even know! What do you think these comments are achieving??
- This will no longer be tolerated. You will be removed from the page also.
3. Some of you just have to make some sort of stupid comment on nearly every single post. This is not achieving anything! All you are doing is trying to stir trouble a lot of the time! You know who you are so please keep these ridiculous and time wasting comments to yourselves please.
- Those that continue to do this will be removed from the page.
4. Some of you are making comments complaining that the pic or video shouldnt be on the page as the crime does not involve a thief and so is therefore "outside of the pages guidelines"
WHAT GUIDELINES?? I'm a little confused about this one because the last time I checked, I believe that it was myself who created this page and dont remember writing any guidlines about what I would post on here?? For your information- We tried to have the name changed to PERTH CRIMES CAUGHT ON CAMERA back in the early days but you are unable to change it when you have over 100 people that have liked your page. We missed the boat because the page had over 100 likes in less than an hour. There is nothing we can do about it now!
4. Those of you that complain about posts with pictures and videos involving minors and say that it is illegal- you may want to check your sources BECAUSE WE HAVE!
-It doesnt matter if they are on Facebook, the front page of the newspaper or in an art gallery. You can take and publish whatever photos you want in a public space provided they aren't pornographic or defamatory. All in all, think we do a pretty good job here, but you are never going to please everyone and you are always going to have the whingers. If you dont agree- THEN DO US THE FAVOUR AND UNLIKE THE PAGE INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING ABOUT IT! We sleep well at night knowing that we have helped towards putting criminals in front of the courts and hopefully behind bars. And thank you to everyone that helps by giving information and making this page achieve its goals. That is what its all about.
