Survey Results Now Available! 📝

The results of the 2026 Beneficiary Consultation Survey are now available to view through the link below:

700 Beneficiaries completed the survey, helping test the ideas raised during the 2026 face-to-face consultation sessions and identify the priorities of the broader Beneficiary community.

The feedback will help the Gumala Trust develop changes, programs and initiatives in response to the input provided.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, voted, asked questions, and shared feedback at the 2026 Gumala Trust AGM and Consultation. This year saw record participation, with over 1,800 Beneficiaries attending.

Direct Deposit (Cash): Please allow 5–7 business days for bank processing. We recommend checking your bank accounts from Friday, 16 October.

AGM Payment Reminder 🔔

Thank you to everyone who attended this year's AGM. It was wonderful to welcome a record number of Beneficiaries and see such strong engagement throughout the day.

A reminder that payments are now being processed:

💳 If you chose to receive your payment on your Purchasing Card, it should have arrived yesterday.

🏦 If you chose direct deposit, please allow 5-7 business days for the payment to reach your account. We recommend checking your bank account from Friday onwards.

Wondering how your funding application gets processed? We’ve outlined the step-by-step process below 👇

1. Funding application form is submitted through the GAC portal.

2. GAC assesses, approves, and processes the application for payment.

3. GAC sends the list of approved payments to GIPL on Monday afternoon (emergency assistance is reviewed on a case-by-case basis).

4. Once received, GIPL verifies and processes the payment on Tuesday, with funds received 24 hours after being processed.

Introducing Gumala Direct – Your money, directly to you 💰🤝✨

You’ve told us you want direct control over your own funds.

And we believe the time is now.

The Gumala Trust will offer a new model of direct cash distributions straight to Beneficiaries.

What does this mean?

• You will be able to choose to receive your money directly, or through your Gumala Trust purchasing card – it’s up to you.
• We will save a lot of money on admin costs – and that will go straight to you.
• By cutting extra costs, we estimate we can double the money available for distribution. That’s up to an extra $40,000 in your pocket over the next 10 years.

What happens next?

• The Gumala Trust Board is continuing to look at the best way to set up Gumala Direct.
• By early 2027, a legal structure will be ready to put in place.
• We will invite you to an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) early next year, where we will explain what happens next.

• $750 for attending the GAC online consultation

Getting ready for the 2026 Online AGM – Login details

The 2026 AGM is being held online on Friday, 9 October!

Here are your login details:

👤Username: last 5 digits of your GAC ID (example: 1234B)

🔒Password: your year of birth (example: 1989)

This login works for both AGMs (the Gumala Trust and GAC) and both consultation sessions.

Check your email: Vero, who run the voting and login system, will email you from [email protected] to confirm your details. Please check your junk/spam folder. If you don’t get an email by end of day Friday 2 October, contact GAC.

On the day: The AGM portal opens at 8am. Please test your login early so you’re ready for the meeting.
