d in the care of men and women diagnosed with breast cancer. An integral part of providing the highest stand of care to patients diagnosed with breast cancer is the ability to involve patients in clinical trials and offer the most up to date treatments. At least 17 of our trials have contributed to enhancement of breast cancer treatment globally. Clinical Trials are the only way to find out which new approaches to cancer treatments will work better than the existing ones. We are the busiest Clinical Trials Unit in Australia per number of staff and the number of patients seen. We deliver broad based education such as Chemo Wise information sessions for people about to start their treatment, our PYNKS group (for women who have metastatic disease), our quarterly newsletter and the Power Of Words which is written by Breast Cancer Patients. Our breast clinic allows patients to self-refer and gain access to rapid diagnosis and treatment to the highest level. This is complemented by a full suite of leading support services.
