A not-for-profit organisation undertaking high quality breast cancer research through our clinical trials unit.

Research + Treatment + Support all in the one world class centre based at Hollywood Consulting Centre BCRC-WA is a registered charity based at Hollywood Consulting Centre. We are a world leader in breast cancer research, treatment and support. Comprising surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, nursing, genetics, allied health and clinical research staff who are involved in the care of men and women diagnosed with breast cancer. An integral part of providing the highest stand of care to patients diagnosed with breast cancer is the ability to involve patients in clinical trials and offer the most up to date treatments. At least 17 of our trials have contributed to enhancement of breast cancer treatment globally. Clinical Trials are the only way to find out which new approaches to cancer treatments will work better than the existing ones. We are the busiest Clinical Trials Unit in Australia per number of staff and the number of patients seen. We deliver broad based education such as Chemo Wise information sessions for people about to start their treatment, our PYNKS group (for women who have metastatic disease), our quarterly newsletter and the Power Of Words which is written by Breast Cancer Patients. Our breast clinic allows patients to self-refer and gain access to rapid diagnosis and treatment to the highest level. This is complemented by a full suite of leading support services.

A BIG thank you to Tour de Cure for their generous community grant. 🩵Last week we joined Suncorp’s Spirit to Cure Fundraiser Walk, coming together to raise awareness and show our support for those affected by cancer. The event hosted just under 200 participants across the 10km and 21km walk options, raising funds for cancer research. Thanks to all the walkers, supporters and volunteers that took part on the day!

Recently shared at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting, exciting advances in breast cancer research continue to bring new possibilities for people living with metastatic breast cancer.

Results from the international VIKTORIA-1 clinical trial have shown promising outcomes for gedatolisib, a new targeted therapy that has been shown to significantly slow the progression of certain hormone receptor-positive (HR+), HER2-negative metastatic breast cancers.
