A quick stop to refuel, one last glance back toward the coast, and then we settled into the long run home via Williams for coffee. The kilometres rolled by steadily, the kind of drive where the journey itself becomes the space to reflect on the days just passed.

A great weekend away with great company and looking forward to the next club event.
A BIG THANK YOU to Keith for putting the Albany run together and to Captain Tom on representing the CCCWA in the Hill Climb ……hopefully next year we will have more contenders 😉

With the cars loaded, we cruised our way up Mount Clarence, the road slick, shining and after high winds littered with leaves and tree branches, the view muted but still carrying that quiet Albany charm.

Albany Classic Motoring Event, day 4. The day began under a light veil of morning rain, the kind that softens the edges of everything and slows the pace just enough to make you notice it. After yesterday’s perfect weather for the around the houses racing event, the shift felt almost symbolic — a gentle nudge that the trip was winding down.

Breakfast at the Sleepwell Motel was tasty, and while saying goodbye to Igor and Mirsada we booked ahead ready for next year.

Dinner ☺️ Superb……everyone enjoyed their meals 😌

Albany Classic Motoring Event, Day 2.
An early start set the tone for Day 2 as Tom and his cobra headed off to the drivers’ briefing for the Albany Classics Hill Climb. In his first-ever hill climb, Tom delivered an impressive performance — a fantastic effort and great representation of the Cobra Car Club. Well done, Tom.
Meanwhile, the rest of the club members in Albany enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the Sleepwell Motel before making their way up the hill to cheer Tom on.
Lunch was shared at the historic Earl of Spencer Inn, where good food and a few cleansing ales were very much appreciated. With the weather holding beautifully, a couple of cars took the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon drive out to Frenchman Bay and Goode Beach, soaking up the scenery and sunshine.
A great day all round — good company, good driving, and another memorable chapter for the club.
