According to Roy Morgan Research, Telecommunications is now Australia's most distrusted sector. Speaking at the CommsDay Pre-summit Forum, Roy Morgan’s CEO, Michele Levine punctuated distrust as not merely being the absence of trust. Rather, it is an active negative feeling directed at a brand. It's a signal the sector needs to take seriously.

Our Senior Policy Officer, Sophia Joo, reports from this year's Summit, where our CEO Narelle Clark took to the stage three times to make the case for regulatory reform, IXP infrastructure, and the long-term telecommunications policy vision Australia urgently needs.

Australia's top telco minds converge on Sydney this week for CommsDay Summit 2026. This is the industry's must-attend event for 2026.

IAA CEO, Narelle Clark, will be on stage at the pre-summit "Restoring Telecom Reputation" forum, joining Australia's senior telco leaders to examine how the sector can strengthen public confidence amid heightened regulatory, political, and consumer scrutiny.

IAA is also a Lightning Talk Sponsor at this year's Summit, with Narelle taking the stage once again on day three as part of the sponsored session.

And to close out the Summit, Narelle joins the Great Debate for a frank conversation about where the industry is headed from the challenger perspective.
