The Hand Tool Preservation Society of Western Australia meets to discuss the latest finds in old hand tools, and how to preserve or use them.

The Hand Tool Preservation Society Of West Australia preserves and restores old hand tools from every trade. You can buy and sell, or join up and collect, discuss your collection, ask for advice, or get tips on where to improve your collection. Members come from all walks of life and share an interest in collecting old hand tools.

Two great events coming up this weekend.
Saturday we're at Wundowie for the Iron Festival with displays and demonstrations.
And Sunday its the Bindoon Historical Vehicle Day for a display and sale of all things auto.
Two great events for families and enthusiasts.
Come and say hello. Bring along any items for identificationc/ information or just a chat.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Annual Vintage Machinery and Powerhouse open Day.
Well done to the Machinery Preservation Club of WA Inc for hosting the event along with the other Workshops community CWA Midland Branch , Midland and Districts Historical Society Inc. , Nineteen O' Four Blacksmith Artisans" and of course The Hand Tool Preservation Society of West Australia with Pattern shop and tool displays also open.
It was great to see many families taking in all the displays exhibitors and the history of this fabulous precinct.
As always Bert and Ernie steam engine rides were very popular.
Thanks also to our fellow community groups , Fine Wood Work Association WA and Hills Spinners group for demonstrating . The Swan Animal Haven sale and raffle was well supported. Congratulations to the hamper winners 1st prize to Red A11 Graham, 2nd Green C30 and 4th Red A25 was Jaye and Green C26 3rd prize to Allan. Winners have been contacted.
The next events for us are the Wundowie Iron Festival 19th Sept and the Bindoon Historic Vehicle day on the 20th. (More info to follow)

Big weekend coming up!!

Saturday 12th September we will be at the Timbecon "Timber Tools and Techniques " show being held at the Canningvale store.
We will have several tables of vintage woodwork tools to suit atrisans, hobbiests , professionals and collectors.

Sunday 13th its back to the workshops for the Machinery Preservation Club of WA Inc "Open day" . We will be supporting this great event with demonstrations along with tools on display and sale in the historic Patternshop

Come and join us for Wheels in the Wheatbelt. The York Motorshow is on again tomorrow. We will be in the main street from 9am with all demos and tools for sale.

We are setting up at Dowerin Field Days. Come and visit us up the back with Tracmach. Lots of vintage trucks, military, machines, tractors and of course tools. We are part of the schools trail with demos and a fantastic toolbox full of of old tools that your school could win

The Hand Tool Preservation Society had an awesome weekend as they celebrated the opening of their new home in the historic Pattern Shop and welcomed thousands of people to their premises for the 'Lost Trades of Yesteryear'.

The sense of community they create, the people they bring together to share skills, and the preservation of local history is what makes them so special.

Congratulations to the volunteers on this milestone - looking forward to seeing the society continue to grow and thrive in its new home!

Its on to the next one!
Come and visit it us at the Dowerin Machinery Field days. We will be with our freinds on the Tracmach stand to show you all things vintage.
Lots of machinery, tractors, vehicles, memorabilia and of course tools.
We're part of the school trail and will have lots of displays, demos and sales.

WOW WHAT A WEEKEND
A big thankyou to all who attended our Trades of Yesteryear event over the week end. We had just over 3000 thru the door. We have had lots of positive feedback back and thanks to your support of our raffle and generous donations it encourages us to start planning the next one!
Congratulations to the winners of the raffle who are now enjoying there prizes after being picked up today.
