and independence in the process. But that's not all. Wembley Downs Joey Scouts make a direct and positive impact on their local community by contributing hundreds of volunteer hours every year. From participating in Clean Up Australia Day to planting trees, the Wembley Downs Scouts are committed to making a difference in our community

Plus, Scouting provides countless opportunities for youth to manage risk, gain resilience and develop leadership skills, as well as practical skills like first aid and cooking. And the fun doesn't stop there - Wembley Downs Scouts get the opportunity to participate in local, national and international camps and Jamborees, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Don't miss out on the chance to give your child a unique and rewarding experience that will help them grow into responsible and confident adults. Sign them up to the Wembley Downs Scouts today!

They also learnt about planting from seeds and seedlings. Hopefully our parsley seeds grow well and our strawberry seedlings produce plenty of fruit to enjoy! It was a great opportunity to learn about caring for plants, taking responsibility, and looking after our environment.

We reminded Joeys this week about hall safety and emergency muster points, making sure everyone knows where to assemble in case of an emergency.
They also got hands-on with tent setup skills, learning how to safely choose suitable ground, position tents correctly, and peg them down properly. A fun and practical night building confidence and teamwork outdoors.
