The Impact of BBMF Lives On ❤️

We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation to our Crisis Accommodation Service at 55 Central from Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple WA.

Following the beautiful Buddha’s Birthday Multicultural Festival, the Packing for a Purpose workshop was a wonderful success. It was heartwarming to see so many message cards, each filled with kindness and encouragement. These special cards were included in the food and hygiene packs that will be distributed to those staying with us.

Your generosity, compassion and community spirit will make a very real difference to people during a difficult time in their lives. Thank you for thinking of our residents and for supporting the work we do. 💛

Finding Calm Through Art & Sutra Copying 🌸

In a peaceful and welcoming space, children and youth engaged in hands-on crafts and sutra copying, learning to slow down, focus, and find inner calm.

With each brushstroke and every creation, they not only explored art and writing, but also connected with their inner selves. Through these meaningful and engaging activities, young participants were introduced to Buddhist teachings in a gentle and accessible way—cultivating mindfulness, patience, and a sense of peace.

In joyful participation, seeds of kindness and wisdom are quietly planted, to grow and flourish over time 🌱✨

Mindful Arts Captivate All Ages at BBMF 🎨🌸 The “Mindful Art Workshop,” designed by Venerable Youji, was also a major highlight of the event. The workshop featured six hands-on creative activities, including natural incense holders, leaf painting, resin art, canvas bag doodling, pony painting, and marble printing. Participants were encouraged to practise mindfulness in the present moment through the creative process, while using art as a bridge for cross-cultural exchange.

We were so grateful to have the amazing Scouts community as part of BBMF 2026 ❤️

Over the weekend, Scouts, leaders, and volunteers created a vibrant space dedicated to this year’s theme — Harmony & Peace. Through meaningful activities like origami cranes, peace doves, and the beautiful Peace Tree, they inspired visitors of all ages to reflect on kindness, compassion, and positive action.

It was wonderful to see young people actively engaging with the community, sharing messages of peace, and participating in the many cultural and mindful experiences across the festival. 🌏✨

A big thank you to all the Scouts, leaders, and volunteers for your energy, dedication, and contribution in making BBMF such a special and meaningful event 🙏
