The generosity of our community is once again overwhelming, and we feel so blessed to have been a part of the VPH Christmas Season Appeal this year. Our Christmas sack was picked up yesterday ready to be distributed to those in need. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

While we came close to pulling the pin on the Appeal this year, we didn't want to leave local recipient organisations and struggling families that our community has supported over the years without an alternative this close to the holiday season.

Instead, we're scaling way back and are collaborating with a handful of local collection partners in the Carlisle area who are also determined to ensure that our local community organisations can bring some cheer to the families in their care.

Today, we paused together.
At 11am, our workplace joined in a moment of silence to honour Remembrance Day — a time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have served and continue to serve.
What made today especially moving was the quiet ripple of conversation sparked by a simple coin collection. Stories were shared, memories surfaced, and connections were made — all inspired by the symbols etched into those small pieces of history.
It was a reminder that remembrance isn’t just about silence — it’s also about the voices that carry these stories forward.
Lest we forget. 🌺
