A big thank you to Lexi, and those supporting you, for your ongoing generosity and support 💛

Seeing the pantry restocked and almost empty again within an hour really shows just how much this support is needed in our community.

Lexi, your kindness and commitment to giving back is truly inspiring. The work you’re doing through “Kindness Counts” is making a real difference, and we’re so grateful for everything you do to support the WUP.

Thank you both 🙏✨

Fantanstic news!

After 5 and a half years our pantry has received a much needed upgrade with a brand new pantry being installed yesterday!

Huge thanks to City of Wanneroo for their continued support and the grant that has funded this upgrade.

Wanneroo Urban Pantry is run by members of the community, for the community so please assist in keeping it clean for everyone to use.

💙 Give What You Can - Take What You Need 💙

Please remember that our pantry can only allow the following
🥫non-perishable food items
🧻 toiletries
🧽 cleaning items

Please no bread or fresh produce as this attracts rodents and insects.

There are clothes donation bins only 50m from the pantry (behind Coles) for any clothes donations.

What is an Urban Pantry?

Urban Pantries (or Street/Free Food Pantries) are small and open structures, filled with donated food and other household items, and are designed to assist those in need within the neighbourhood.

The concept behind these pantries are “take what you need, give what you can” - allowing those with a need to give to be able to donate and those with a need for food, to be able to be food secure.

The Wanneroo Urban Pantry (WUP) is based many similar successful initiatives. A donated bookcase will be located in a secure but accessible area within the City of Wanneroo township, which we hope will be continually filled with food items and other household goods and be a truly community supported project.

WUP is currently in it’s final approval stages, with the aim to be servicing the local community from early July 2019.
