The Deafness Council, supported by the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, is once again offering its annual Leadership Scholarships.

Up to three scholarships of $7,000 each are available to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing Western Australians, as well as organisations and groups, to undertake activities that build leadership capability, personal development, and community participation.

Applications close at 5.00 pm on 30 November 2026, with successful recipients to be announced by 31 December 2026.

Previous scholarship recipients have used this funding to pursue leadership development opportunities, training, mentoring, support services, and other initiatives that have strengthened their skills and community impact.

You don’t need to be a WAFDC member — TAFE students, Auslan learners, TODs, families, friends… absolutely anyone is welcome. Share this with community members.

Eligible WA families can receive:

🎟️ One $50 voucher per child aged 5–15
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Vouchers for up to four children—up to $200 per family
