Meena, our new MK Youth Lead, had a great introduction to the work of the Wheatbelt Natural Resource Management Inc team this week in Southern Cross and Kellerberrin. Asking kids the big questions about what they want for 2071. Think the future of community, climate, conversation, agriculture, feral animals and water. Using deliberative democracy skills to prioritise ideas and recommendations. So many great ideas.

And now to type up all those ideas and priorities to create a report to stakeholders.

Nothing makes us more excited than seeing a strategy come to life. Supporting Friends of Lake Claremont to grow their youth involvement and let them fly was always the goal.

MK Youth Board members Josh, Chris, and Lucas have been doing the doing with support from Eva and the amazing Nick and team.

And over the last year their hard work and consistent messaging and delivery has paid off.

Our MK intern, Syifa, has superpowers. In her past life, before becoming a Master’s student, Syifa created and directed a podcast series and worked at a radio station in Indonesia. Now Syifa has graduated she is working with the MK team on a podcast series with our Kids on Country team.
