The capital city of Uganda is Kampala with a population of about 5,000,000 people. Uganda is made up of a population of good friendly people, and has one of the best climates in the the world.

UWA’s Department of Anthropology, together with UBC, has been working to preserve a **major historical media archive** recently discovered in Uganda.

At this special event, UWA will showcase:

📽️ *Never‑before‑seen historic Ugandan footage*
🎙️ *The earliest audio recordings ever made in Uganda*
📸 *The first photography from the 1800s to modern times*
🗂️ *A huge collection of rare photos and archival material*

This is a **unique, family‑friendly event**, organised **exclusively for our community**, with **free catering** provided.
