Are you passionate about kiteboarding and wing foiling? Do you want to help shape the future of our sport in Western Australia?

The Board is looking for an entrepreneurial and communicative member to step forward for a position on the Board.

We are specifically looking for someone who would enjoy leading the activities of the Events & Participation Sub-Committee, has the time to volunteer, and has a passion for the sport. This is an opportunity to get involved, contribute to the development of our events and participation programs, and help strengthen our leadership team. If you're keen to get involved, we'd love to hear from you.

Nominations must be submitted in writing using the Nomination Form, which can be found via the link below, along with further information.

Join us for WA’s Season Opening BBQ and Annual General Meeting (AGM), with plenty of time for drinks, catch-ups and discussions. Get ready for the summer and join us on Thursday, 17 September 2026, at the Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club, 20 Leighton Beach Blvd, North Fremantle.

Kite and Wing WA is hosting both Level 1 Kiteboarding and Wing Foiling Instructor Training Courses, giving you the opportunity to become a Kiteboarding Australia Accredited Instructor and take the next step in your riding journey!

These courses are designed for experienced riders who want to develop their coaching, safety, and communication skills while opening the door to teaching opportunities in Australia and around the world.

Since joining the KWA community, Dania has consistently gone above and beyond, contributing countless hours to support event delivery, athlete experience, and the growth of kiteboarding in Australia.
From leading race briefings and coordinating heat schedules to overseeing course setup and ensuring fair competition, Dania’s role as Race Director has been instrumental in the smooth delivery of our events. Her leadership provides structure, clarity, and consistency for both athletes and officials throughout competition.
Dania represents what our community is all about dedication, passion, and a willingness to step up when it matters most.

At our recent AGM, members voted to rebrand to 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝗲 & 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮.

Over the coming months, you’ll start to see this change roll out but don’t worry, it’s still the same KWA you know, just with a name that better reflects our growing community.

👉 Wing foiling is booming
It’s the fastest-growing part of our membership, with more riders getting involved every season.

👉 One community, two sports
For many, it’s not kite or wing, it’s both. The crossover in skills, safety, and ocean awareness makes this a natural evolution.

We’re building more support for winging, including events, pathways, and stronger representation across WA.
