⚠️ PARVOVIRUS WARNING – BALCATTA ⚠️
Parvovirus has been detected in Balcatta and surrounds and is highly contagious.
If your dog is lacking energy or appetite, has vomiting and/or diarrhea and you have an appointment at Karrinyup Small Animal Hospital, please ring us to notify of your arrival while remaining in your car with your dog.
Please do not enter the clinic or get out of your car until your dog has been tested for parvovirus and returned a negative result.
Our vets will come out to your car wearing full PPE to assess your dog and carry out testing. This precaution helps protect other patients and prevent the potential spread of this serious virus.
Has your dog shown any signs of lethargy, vomiting or diarrhoea recently? Please call us on 9447 4644 before coming into the clinic so we can advise you on the safest next steps.
If you're not sure if your dog is up to date with vaccines, you can call or email us to check.
