Ok peeps - it's recycling week and one of our BCEC members is showing us how (thanks Heather 😊)! This a timely reminder to rethink our waste and come up with ideas about how we can reduce, reuse and recycle.

From separating your recyclables correctly to finding new ways to reuse what you already have — every conscious decision you make helps to build a cleaner, greener environment. 🌿

“How do I become a member and what is the benefit?”

It’s a question we were asked a lot during our time at the Belmont Community Markets.

Besides hanging out with some pretty awesome people (that’s us 😉), our members put forward their clean and green ideas and we use all the resources we can muster to help make it happen! 💚

It’s a $10 fee annually (which is for admin reasons) and you get invited to join us with some pretty awesome opportunities.

This is our beautiful Kate. She loves trees, birds and her community 💚

And, she’s arranged these FREE nut trees (pictured) for you (if you live in the City of Belmont).

You also get to participate in a free workshop to learn how these trees offer high quality food for our black cockatoos.

Kate got inspired after planting a Banksia in her garden and happily spent days watching black cockatoos eat away. She did a good thing. She planted a tree that fed these beautiful birds for days. Will you do a good thing too? It’s free!

Do you want to experience these beautiful creatures, in person?
There are two ways - and they're FREE (if you live in City of Belmont).

1. Plant a FREE nut tree to plant in your garden (we are giving away FREE nut trees while they last - one per successful applicant).

AND

2. Then, you get to join us for a FREE 1-hour workshop with a small group of nature-loving people in September. This is where you and your family can interact with, and learn more about these beautiful birds, thanks to our friend Dean from Carnaby Crusaders.
