What a fabulous day we had on Thursday connecting with Friends in Harmony for an afternoon of music, laughter and sharing stories.
Matt said “Today was -awesome! Loved having you guys over. Everyone had a ball!” He is one of the facilitators of Friends in Harmony, a dementia friendly choir and a wonderful example of the power of music to help build connection and lift spirits.

We were spoilt to be led by amazing musicians and celebrated many common interests including a love of old hits and the joy of singing together. Afternoon tea was such a great opportunity to mix together - thank you to all the volunteers on the day and to the Floreat Salvation Army Corp.

Last week was a real highlight for us as we celebrated Harmony Week on Tuesday at rehearsal - everyone got into the spirit of the day as you will see from the photos. Thanks for sharing everyone.

Tuesday 17th we will celebrate both Harmony Day and St Patrick's day with costumes, food and songs from around the world. The message for Harmony Week is "Everyone Belongs". Wear green, orange or something representing your heritage, bring a taster to share before our rehearsal or share your song and its story - we can't wait. 🏝️🏔️🕌🗾🏞️🌄🏰🏜️🥨🥝🌮🫔🍕

As well as having a good time with our friends and colleagues remember this Saturday 21 Mar is the International Day for the elimination of Racial Discrimination which is sadly still a work in progress even in multicultural Australia. 🌏🌍🌎
