Great educational sessions at our WAAS meeting this evening.
A very entertaining presentation from Rachel Stone all about swarm collection and cutouts. The session cover practical techniques, essential equipment, safety considerations, and common mistakes to avoid, with a focus on keeping both bees and beekeepers safe.
After supper break, Stephen Boylen explored the basics of what to look for during a hive inspection, from identifying healthy brood patterns and spotting the queen's signs to recognising food stores, pests, diseases, and early warning signals of potential problems. Includes practical tips and inspection techniques to assist with make informed management decisions.

From practical household staples to skincare essentials to give your body that special glow, you'll craft high-quality items perfect for gifting (or keeping all for yourself!)

WHAT THE WORKSHOP OFFERS

Sugar Scrub: Gently removes dry skin while leaving a silky finish
Lip Balm: Smooth, moisturising and long-lasting
Beeswax Candles: Slow-burning candles with a warm glow and gentle honey scent
Wood Polish: Restores shine, nourishes the grain, and protects timber from drying and cracking
