A big shout out and thanks to Mark & Vanessa at Hardware Cafe for their wonderful Welsh hospitality as always for our Amser Coffi last Saturday! There weren’t too many Welsh cakes left by the end of the morning! We had a great turnout of 13 despite the weather, including some newbies! Keep an 👀 on our page for our next set of events!

The Welsh Society of WA continues St David’s Day celebrations by supporting Perth Male Voice Choir at their St David’s day performance.

Our President Sam Llew attended in full traditional Welsh dress attracting a lot of attention, over 20 photos were requested and was even invited to sing the Welsh National Anthem with the choir at the end of their set!

What a wonderful way to end the St David’s Day weekend in Perth!

We had a wonderful attendance for our Dydd Gŵyl Dewi event today at The Firkin who cooked us up a storm with a delicious Welsh traditional lamb roast!
We were joined by our Patron The Hon. Bob Kucera who gave a wonderful speech & toast to St David, along with Hugh Jones MLA who also spoke at the event.
We were entertained by professional harpist Kira Gunn Harpist who wowed us all with her spectacular command of the Celtic Harp and played all our favourite Welsh songs which truly made everyone’s day!
Everyone received a Welsh cake to take home courtesy of Dellyth Evans and congratulations to our 5 raffle winners who all took home hampers full of tasty treats including Wrexham Lager and Snowdonia Cheese, Welsh slate homeware and Welsh car window stickers.
We extend warm Welsh wishes to all our fellow kindred Welsh societies across the world who are also celebrating this weekend! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
