What an incredible day for our RAAFA team at the 2026 HBF Run for a Reason! It was fantastic to see over 100 RAAFA staff proudly wearing their RAAFA shirts, coming together to run, jog, and walk while soaking up the amazing atmosphere.

Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm, generosity, and team spirit, we raised an outstanding $5,564.14 for RAAFA – a truly remarkable result that reflects the heart of our community. 💙

A very special congratulations to our top fundraisers, Shauna Gilsenan and Amy Heath, who raised an impressive $881.00 each! Your efforts are inspiring and made a huge impact!

Thank you all for bringing the energy, smiles, and team spirit, we’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year!

Our recent Nosh Dietitians nutrition workshop for members was a success🥗

Members gained valuable insights into healthy eating, with practical tips and advice to support better nutrition and overall wellbeing. Each attendee also received a helpful nutritional guide to take home and continue their learning.

Our 2025 Impact Report is here.

We recently had the joy of celebrating the 100th birthdays of two remarkable Karri & Tuart Lodge residents, Jean and Lavinia.
Celebrations honouring the two wonderful women were held, surrounded by family, friends, and our community.

This National Volunteer Week, we proudly recognise the 750+ volunteers who support RAAFA communities across our estates, services and the Aviation Heritage Museum.

Our longest serving volunteer has dedicated an extraordinary 54 years of service, a reflection of the commitment shared by volunteers across RAAFA.

At RAAFA, we welcome this important recognition of the families, partners and loved ones who stand beside current and former Australian Defence Force personnel throughout their service journey and beyond.

Behind every veteran is a network of support, sacrifice and resilience. Today, we acknowledge and thank the families of our veteran community for the vital role they play.

Looking for a fun, social way to stay active? 🏓
Pickleball is now being played at RAAFA Merriwa — and it’s proving to be a hit!

A mix of badminton, tennis and table tennis, Pickleball is played on a smaller court with underarm strokes, making it easy on the body and great fun for all skill levels. No experience needed and no equipment to buy — just turn up in comfy clothes and trainers.

Games are played Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with residents and guests welcome. If you’re curious to try something new, make new friends and have a laugh along the way, this could be for you.
