🌱 Free Trees and Plants Giveaway 🌱

Each year, the City of Swan’s Free Trees and Plants Giveaway offers residents a selection of native, waterwise plants to support revegetation across both urban and rural properties in the City. It’s part of the City’s commitment to conserving our natural environment and increasing tree canopy across the community.

Residents can apply for either an urban or rural plant pack, depending on the size of their property.

📅 Applications are now open and close on March 27, 2026.

🚧 Road Works Update for Jane Brook Residents

Following community feedback about traffic flow issues and deteriorating road conditions impacting Jane Brook, Main Roads has commenced a number of upgrades in the area.

✅ Resurfacing works on Talbot Road are now complete.
🚧 Works are currently underway to resurface Toodyay Road on both sides of the Jane Brook Bridge.
➡️ Turning right onto Roe Highway from Toodyay Road has also been improved with the addition of an extra turning lane, helping ease congestion during peak times.

🚧 Community Notice – Talbot Rd / Toodyay Rd Night Works 🚧

A heads-up for our local community 👋

Main Roads WA will be carrying out resurfacing works on Talbot Road and Toodyay Road from 5 January to 23 January 2026.

🕖 Road closures will be in place overnight between 7:00pm and 5:00am during this period.

If you’re travelling in the area in the evenings or early mornings, please plan ahead, allow extra time, and follow all traffic management signage.
