This is Chappy 💙

He's a beautiful boy with a big Mastiff head who looks quite serious in his photos and while he is VERY serious about cuddling his favourite people, he's pretty fun and goofy the rest of the time 😍

This gorgeous boy is around 2 years old and will be the prefect dog for someone looking for a sweet, gentle snuggle buddy 🥰 He'd still like a nice sniffy walk each day and could live with kids 10+. Chappy can make doggy friends for polite walks, but he really, truly wants to be your one and only dog at home 🏠

Our extra special girl Bindi is looking for an extra special home! 🥹🩷

Some of you may even recognise this gorgeous girl as we shared a video of her rescue all the way back in June. Then a terrified and heavily pregnant girl in the Geraldton pound, our General Manager made a roundtrip in one day to get her into our care before she could give birth.

Once her pups were born, Bindi raised them on site here at the Refuge along with support from our team. One by one, her babies were adopted into their own forever homes but Bindi decided that she wasn't quite done with her parenting duties and she stepped in to be the resident nanny in our puppy centre, taking all the little ones under her wing. It's as if she thought every puppy coming in was brought in especially for her 🥹

And it's not just puppies that she loves! Bindi has made so many doggy friends in her time with us and so, she absolutely must go home with a dog sibling (or even two) who can keep her company and help her to feel confident. 🐶

After months spent building her trust, showing her that humans can be kind and that the world isn't such a scary place, Bindi is truly a totally different dog. While she is still shy with new people and needs a home where she can take things at her pace, she has made such incredible progress. A quiet adult only home with adopters who understand fearful dogs and can set her up for success is just what Bindi needs 🥰

Calling all German Shepherd lovers!! 😍😍

This absolutely stunning boy is Miles and we know he's going to win a whole lot of hearts ❤️ Truly everything you could wish for in a Shepherd, he's loyal, intelligent, driven and loves to get out for an adventure, learn some new tricks or enjoy a good game of fetch 🥎 Plus, he is very interested in making nice doggy friends and would benefit from living with a friend who can match his energy 🐶

Though Miles can be shy with new people, he has the biggest heart and is so loving with those he trusts. He is truly his happiest when in the company of his favourite people and would like his new family to be home often so he can have plenty of attention 🥰

🐾💙 THANK YOU 💙🐾

When tasked with finding a way of giving back as part of their community service project, this amazing group of year 8s from Scotch College knew they wanted to support rescue dogs in need. They planned, spent lots of time prepping and held a sausage sizzle where they managed to sell over 200 sausages! How incredible is that? 🤩

And they didn't stop there! With all the money they raised, they went through our wishlist of most needed items and purchased lots of amazing goodies for the dogs in our care. Little JJ here was very happy to accept all the donations on behalf of his doggy pals and he got plenty of snuggles too 🐶

It's always amazing seeing young people getting involved in rescue and we are so impressed by these boys and their dedication and hardwork. Thank you so much for this lovely donation and for making the lives of rescue dogs a little bit brighter 💙

Gloria is back on the hunt for her forever family 😢

Recently adopted from our care, this majestic fluffy lady went out into the most wonderful home where she was absolutely spoilt rotten but sadly, she wasn't coping when her new mum had to go out and so she's back with us hoping to find a family who will devote their lives to her. We're looking at you retirees! ❤️

Originally found wandering the streets in very poor condition, Gloria's life hasn't always been easy but she is still such a sweet, gentle and well-mannered lady who so deserves the perfect quiet and relaxing retirement filled with sniffy strolls, cozy beds and the undivided attention of her people 🥰

Gloria has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism but her condition is well managed with medication. Potential owners need to be aware of this and our team will discuss her condition and future care with you prior to adoption.

We absolutely love a gentle giant and Orion certainly fits that description to a tee! 😍😍

Don't be mistaken, while Orion may be a laidback senior at 7 years old, he also has a delightfully silly and playful side that he shows off when he's feeling comfortable. Day to day though, this big smooshy Mastiff mix is very happy with quiet, sniffy walks followed by time at home, lazing in the sun surrounded by those he loves ☀️

A relaxing retirement home where he can be the centre of attention is Orion's dream and while he enjoys plenty of company, he wouldn't mind living with full time workers so long as they can totally spoil him when they're at home 🐶

5th October - 11th October 2026

Last week may have been a bit quieter than usual in terms of adoptions with 19 of our adult dogs and 10 puppies going off to their forever homes but we’re very glad that each and every one of these gorgeous pooches has found the most wonderful families to love them forever! Amongst all these brilliant adoptions, we’re especially excited to share that one of our most long term residents, Tyson has been adopted by his foster family. We couldn’t be happier for all of the dogs who were lucky enough to be chosen and we’re hoping plenty more deserving doggos will get their second chances this coming week!

Home Open is just around the corner 🤩 Our Home Open is an amazing two day fundraiser held on site here at the Refuge full of fun activities, amazing deals and, of course, an opportunity to snuggle some puppies 🐶 So, make sure to mark your calendars and visit us on October 24th and 25th from 10am - 2:30pm to partake in the festivities 🥳

Donations of clothing, bags and shoes for our jumble sale have now closed but we are accepting all other jumble sale donations until the 19th of October! 🤩
