Scandinavian Association of WA Bringing together Scandinavians in WA The Scandinavian Association brings together Scandinavians living and working in Western Australia.

Our great Nordic House in Thornlie, is open every Saturday 2pm – 5pm for coffee, cake and chats. We have a great Library of books, DVDs and CDs of mixed languages for members to borrow and the centre can be hired out for events. Scanclub has been given free tickets from Anarchy PR for the Nordic film festival in Palace and Luna cinemas . A group of us enjoyed the preview of The Last Resort, very good Danish film . Tomorrow a couple have tickets for the opening night with the film Arru, and also 5 double passes have been given out , thanks to Anarchy and Luna. A double pass was won by someone at the St Hans raffle but has not yet been claimed. Please contact Scanclub to receive the tickets by email asap otherwise someone else will be able to go x

On Saturday 27th June Scanclub is inviting you all to the Midsummer Bonfire in Midwinter! Come up to Wundowie in the hills and get warmed up by the fire . There will be hot dogs, gløgg, hot chocolate, æbleskiver and more . Bring some coins for the raffle . Come up from 3 pm , the address is 2, Olive rd . There’s a big shed to seek shelter in as it may be wet .

On Saturday the 6th June at 3 pm we invite to an afternoon tea at Nordic house to celebrate the National days of Denmark, Sweden and Iceland. There will be waffles and aebleskiver and other sweet things . Come along no need to book .
