Today marks a National Day of Mourning to honour the victims of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack. Everyone is invited to observe a minute of silence at 4:01pm AWST and to leave a candle on their doorstep or window.
This is a moment for not only reflecting, but also honoring those who lost their lives, as well as those affected by this act of violence. It is an opportunity to unite and acknowledge that people do not need to share the same background or faith to stand together.
On this day, and every day we must hold respect, compassion, and a shared commitment to looking out for one another.
